An Introduction to Our Flower Committee
The Flower Committee is responsible for having a bouquet on the communion table for Sunday services and special events. Usually the flowers are donated in memory of loved ones. In the summer floral planters are placed outside to add some color.
We do so appreciate the willingness of members of our church family to help decorate the sanctuary at Christmas time. The poinsettias donated at Christmas time, and the lilies at Easter time, are provided in memory of, or in honor of loved ones. They also add beauty to the surroundings.
We have just purchased a beautiful artificial bouquet to have, when the need arises. Also larger candles have been chosen to use for the Christmas Eve candle lighting service. For a further project we are considering the purchase of palm trees, and have contacted a florist for their input and suggestions.
Our committee has worked very well together. The members are Debra Carroll, Sue Duthie, Debra Gates and Mary Kilburn, Chairman.
